«During last 70 years Ukraine partners with the United Nations for the aim of human dignity, peace and development. Ukraine was one of the first 51 states to sign the United Nations Charter and since then, the country has consistently adhered to the purposes and principles of the Charter, substantially contributing to maintenance of international peace and security, disarmament, economic and social development, protection of human rights, and strengthening of international law. Ukraine faces many challenges so promoting unity, sustained peace, and tolerance becomes more important than ever. The United Nations is supports national efforts to build peaceful, prosperous, strong and united Ukraine”, - said Neal Walker, the UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine.

This image of Ukraine will be reflected in all pieces during the concert. According to the Director of the project, the role of the culture is to remind people about the core values of humanity. “Performers come from different cities of Ukraine - Chernihiv, Poltava, Kosiv, Sumy, Simferopol, Lugansk, Donetsk. They will perform folk and classical music typical of their regions, but united in their call for peace and a peaceful life where there is kindness, humour, love, and hope for in a better future, \"- said Herman Makarenko, Project Manager, conductor of the National Opera of Ukraine, People`s Artist of Ukraine.

The concert is organized and supported by a number of private companies. Effective partnerships between public entities, private organizations and civil society are particularly important in this globalized world. Traditional roles have become increasingly blurred and promoting sustained peace is now everyone’s responsibility.
