On 10th March 2006, the Resident Coordinator of the UN system in Ukraine, Mr. Francis O’Donnell met with Mr. Yuriy Ivanov the Chairman, Board of Directors of the Active-Bank. During their meeting Mr. Ivanov presented Mr. O’Donnell with a letter for the UN Secretary General pledging Active-Bank’s support for the Global Compact and its principles. Mr. O’Donnell welcomed Active-Bank as a new signatory to the Global Compact and encouraged the bank and other leading institutions to play a key role in promoting corporate citizenship in Ukraine.


Global Compact is the UN voluntary initiative that calls business and organizations to embrace, support and enact, within their sphere of their influence, a set of core values in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption.

Active-bank has started its work in the Ukrainian marketplace in 2002 and for now has its branches in Kyiv, Donetsk and Lviv with more than 1200 corporate clients with motto “Objective-Action-Result”.
