GENEVA (10 November 2017) – Ukraine is facing new risks of chemical disaster and water safety after an escalation of conflict near water supply facilities in the east of the country, two UN Special Rapporteurs have warned.

13 October 2017, Kyiv - UN Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator, Ursula Mueller, today concluded her three-day visit to Ukraine during which she witnessed first-hand the human face of the conflict on both sides of the ‘contact-line’. She stressed the urgent need for humanitarian funding to address the dire situation faced by millions of civilians during the coming winter months.

3 October 2017 - The International Organization for Migration (IOM) – the UN Migration Agency - and KfW Development Bank, on behalf of the German Government*, have signed an agreement in Kyiv today to implement a two-year project that will assist some 2,000 conflict-affected people with developing new or improving existing income opportunities.

Greenhouse effect does not distinguish nationalities, languages, gender or political views. No country or block can solve this problem by itself. It clearly demonstrates how we depend on each other.

14 September 2017, KRAMATORSK - Representatives of UN agencies, funds and programs working in Ukraine have held an open meeting with Kramatorsk residents.  Its purpose was to share information about their activities and what has been achieved over the past three years in the city and the region working with cooperation and support.

August 2, 2017 - in the form of an intellectual quest, 200 camp participants learned about the Global UN Agenda 2030 - the Goals of Sustainable Development. 

67% of children in Ukraine aged 11-17 faced bullying in the past three months. 24% of children were victims of bullying, and 48 % of these victims did not tell anyone about the incidents.

17 July 2017 - If the world is to eradicate poverty, address climate change and build peaceful, inclusive societies for all by 2030, key stakeholders, including governments, must drive implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at a faster rate, says the latest progress report on the SDGs launched by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres today.

United Nations in Ukraine will hold Symphonic Orchestra Concert on the Water 'Art for environment campaign' on 30 June in Kyiv in order to generate SDGs and environmental awareness using the universal language of music as a catalyst for individuals, communities and leaders. 

27 June 2017 - On 24 June United Nations Youth Advisory Panel in Ukraine together with United Nations in Ukraine and UN Volunteers organized a quest on Sustainable Development Goals dedicated to the International Youth Day. SDGs quest was held during Festival on Youth initiatives in Mariyinskyi Park in Kyiv, Ukraine.
