Kiev, 11 March 2010: A joint United Nations/European Union assessment team has completed its technical scoping mission to the city of Kalush, Ukraine following an official request for assistance from national authorities.

Network in Ukraine supported the Second International Conference of
Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum "Philanthropy and Crisis: from
Consumption into Actions”. The forum brought together international
experts and representatives from more than two hundred companies and
organizations.
13 February 2010. Kyiv, Ukraine - United Nations Food and Agriculture
Organization (FAO) carried out the mission to Ukraine from 3 to 5 February 2010 in the framework of the “Increasing
resilience of small scale farmers to the impacts of soaring food prices
by improving capacity and institutional environment for seed
production, the use of irrigation technologies and animal
identification Project”. The project is funded by the Government of
Austria and beneficiary countries are Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine.
The component for Ukraine focuses on improvement of capacity and
institutional set-up of animal identification and registration system
in the country.

regions and communities Olivier Adam, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations and UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine, and his Russian counterpart Frode Mauring have visited Chornobyl nuclear power plant site.
