Mutual accountability needed to achieve anti-poverty goals – UN Assembly President

achieving the anti-poverty targets known as the Millennium Development Goals

Every 20 seconds, a child dies as a result of the abysmal sanitation, warns Ban Ki-moon in his message to the World Water Day

New York - In the message to the World Water Day, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon notes that this year, World Water Day coincides with the International Year of Sanitation, challenging us to spur action on a crisis affecting more than one out of three people on the planet. International Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination: students of Kyiv school discussed tolerance learning story of Holocaust survivor Gerda Klein
21 March, 2008. Kyiv - On the 20th of March a special lesson “Teaching tolerance” took place in Kyiv lyceum “Leader”. Twenty 10th form students took part in the discussion on types of discrimination and ways to address them. The lesson was initiated and conducted by English language teacher Alexandra Rachova on the observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
