In April-May 2006 the UN House hosted an art exhibition of children’s drawings devoted to the 20th anniversary of the Chornobyl nuclear accident. The 30 drawings created by young talents aged from 8 to 18 from the Zhytomyr oblast had been earlier presented at the regional exhibition “Chornobyl through Eyes of Children” dedicated to the power plant catastrophe consequences.
The aim of the event was to demonstrate how children today perceive the problem of Chornobyl and to attract attention and to call public to take measures in preserving safe future for their children.
