United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA) in Ukraine conducted series of events dedicated to the World Population Day.
On 11 July 2006 UNFPA in Ukraine jointly with the Ministry for Family, Youth and Sport of Ukraine and the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine held a press conference dedicated to the World Population Day with the year 2006 theme “Young People”. The event took place at the premises of the UNIAN news agency in Kyiv.
Dr. Peer Sieben, UNFPA Country Director for Ukraine gave an interview to BBC – Ukraine radio station on the occasion. The interview was broadcasted on July 11, 2006.
In addition, Volodymyr Shemayev, the UNFPA Programme Associate/Youth gave interview to "ERA" radio station. The interview was broadcasted on 10 July 2006.
