Looking for exhibits for “Human Rights against AIDS” exhibition

Kyiv, Ukraine - On the eve of the World AIDS Day, International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Ukraine and the UN Agencies in partnership with “What’s on” magazine are glad to announce a launch of the exhibition “Human Rights against AIDS” dedicated to the 60-th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the frames of World AIDS Day to be held on 10-14 December 2008 in Soviart gallery (22-a Andriyivsky uzviz).

 

Aim of the exhibitionto present Ukraines commitment in implementing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, particularly related to HIV/AIDS, through art works and other designs.   

 

 

Information for those who wants to participate in the exhibition:

 

The eligible exhibits:

  • photos (not less than 300 DPI, for printing photos of 30x45 cm)
  • paintings, collages, caricatures
  • applied arts
  • video clips, films, posters (good quality)
  • Living Books (www.livinglibrary.org.ua)
  • samples of projects describing gaps in implementing the relevant articles of the Declaration related to HIV/AIDS and ways to overcome these gaps.

 

Exhibits should depict the following topics:

 

·         Right to medical services and social protection

·         Right to protection against discrimination

·         Right to education

·         Right to free private life/ sexual orientation

·         Right to confidential information

·         Right to a fair trial

·         Protection of women’s rights

·         Protection of children’s rights
