11 November 2009, Kyiv, Ukraine. ─ On 30 October, 2009, International Programme on Elimination of Child Labour, International Labour Organization (ILO-IPEC) in Ukraine organized a round-table discussion based on the results of independent final evaluation of the phase II of the project «Trafficking and other Worst Forms of Child Labour in Central and Eastern Europe». Among the participants of the round-table were Mr. Stephane Jeannet, independent evaluator, Mr. Vasyl Kostrytsya, ILO National Coordinator in Ukraine, Ms. Tetyana Minenko, ILO-IPEC National Programme Manager, representatives of key ministries, social partners, international and non-governmental organizations.

Kyiv, Ukraine. ─ Leader of the WHO Mission, Head of the Emergency Response to Natural Disasters Department of the WHO European Regional Bureau Jukka Pukkila, WHO expert, specialist in intensive care unit of the Royal Hospital of Leicester Simon Merdel, UN System Resident Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representative Olivier Adam, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Representative in Ukraine Yukie Mokuo, Head of the WHO Country Office Igor Pokanevych took part in the meting.

 9 November 2009, Kyiv, Ukraine - During a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mrs. Yuliya Tymoshenko today, the UN System Resident Coordinator Mr. Olivier Adam, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Representative in Ukraine Ms.Yukie Mokuo, Head of the WHO Country Office Mr. Igor Pokanevych, and Leader of the WHO group of experts Mr. Jukka Pukkila discussed the epidemic situation in Ukraine and further joint steps to overcome it. 

3 November 2009. Kyiv, Ukraine ─ Today at the press brifing held by Ministry of Health of Ukraine Mr. Jukka Pukkila, Leader of the WHO team, made the following statement: "Seven days ago the Government of Ukraine issued a health alert after reporting a dramatic increase in the number of people with influenza-like illness. This was shortly followed by a request from the Government for assistance from World Health Organization to further investigate the situation. 

1 November 2009. Kyiv, Ukraine. – With continuing spread of A (H1N1) worldwide and with the current outbreak in Ukraine, the United Nations system in Ukraine reaffirms its willingness to support the national response to the pandemic in Ukraine.

On 21 – 22 October 2009 United Nations System Agencies presented information materials about their recent researches and projects experience at Information Fair at the Verhovna Rada of Ukraine. UN Office in Ukraine, UNAIDS, UNDP/MGSDP, Office of the World Bank and IFC in Ukraine, UNHCR, ILO, IOM, UNICEF, UNFPA granted more than 70 publications to distribute among the members of parliament, their assistants and personnel of Apparatus of Verhovna Rada of Ukraine. During the Informational Fair more than 500 books and brochures were distributed by the UN representatives, and around 200 copies handed over to the Parliamentary Library.
